It’s still the middle of winter, but everybody’s already looking forward to and can’t wait for spring. We’re all tired of this chilly weather. I am not that tired really, but of course, I do look forward to spring too. What I like most about it is we get to spend time outside grilling and having our meals out on the deck.

And speaking of that, we do need a new grill because the one that the husband has finally died on him last year. He was thinking of fixing it, but it will cost him more than buying a new one. That grill from GrillsDirect.com is a good contender. I saw it earlier and I will show it to the husband later. I’ll bet he will agree with me.

When it comes to decorating our humble abode, I definitely have plans. My husband stayed here alone for many years so just imagine what the house looked like when I arrived – a typical bachelor’s pad. It certainly needed a woman’s touch and though I’ve done some few decorating here, there is still a lot that I want to do.

Changing some of the old furniture; yeah, that is a definite to do. I had been looking and there are just so many choices that I like, including hickory furniture. But I have a budget so I just can’t grab it at the moment. I’ve been thinking of having a built-in cabinet too for the TV and his enormous collection of books. I still have to ask his carpenter stepson about that so I will have an idea how much will it cost. I do hope it won’t cost us an arm and a leg.

We’ve been waiting for tomorrow because you know what? The appliances that we bought will be delivered by then. Yay!!! My husband will take a leave off work because he wants to be here tomorrow. I don’t know anything about appliances installation and such. The husband is an expert when it comes to that so, we thought it would be best if he will be here just in case he has questions, etc.

The people who will deliver the items called him yesterday and they will be here between one o’clock to 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

I can’t wait to see the new appliances in their proper places! Weee!!!

Do you, as I, go brain dead at times? Like an idea has been running in your mind for days and when the time comes that you want to express it, you totally forget exactly what you wanted to say? I can be like that as well as my husband and we just tease each other that it is memory gap hitting us. LOL.

And it happened to me a while ago. I was sitting in the living room with the husband watching his favorite baseball team play, the Atlanta Braves, when I thought of going to the PC to check about laminate flooring. But when I got to the PC, I forgot what I was going to check. Oh boy! I think I need to keep my memory intact by laminating it. Teehee.

I’ve been wanting to clean our back deck as well as our front deck and front yard, but the chilly weather is simply hindering me from doing it. I don’t want to wear layered clothing too while working so I thought I might as well just wait for spring or summer to get the work done.

Until yesterday, the weather was just so nice. It was like spring like so I decided that it is the perfect time to do the work that I want to do since I got here. I swept the back deck from the dry leaves. I swept the front deck too and finally, I raked the dry leaves from the steps going to the house. I really felt good after seeing that it’s now free from those dry leaves. Very neat looking now and nice. Yes!!!
