PostHeaderIcon My Hubby and His News Shows

My husband always watches the nightly news. He wants to be updated every day of what’s been happening in the country. I do watch from time to time and there are times that I listen while doing my online tasks. I can hear the television from our bedroom so it’s most likely that even if I don’t want to listen, I can still hear it.

And the news is almost the same everyday. Not unless there is breaking news from somewhere. But even though they talk the same stuff, still, it is interesting to listen to because you get to know these people who share their intellectual and political opinions. I do learn from them and that’s what’s interesting about it. Last night, I overheard the topic being the debt problem. That was perfect because I was reading about debt collection services at that time.

I do wonder if they will be talking the same stuff tonight?

PostHeaderIcon Don’t Get Whammed By a Scam

Hearing or reading articles about scams like that of the lipozene scam really irritates me. I don’t know what these people are into. They fabricate stories to the point that you will think it is really believable. Yeah, it might seem believable, but I am not the type who believes in such stories easily. I research and read articles and figure it out myself if it is true or not. I suggest you also do the same. It is for your own good. Don’t be a victim.

Pain at the Pump. That was the headline in the news the other day, and I guess you know to what it refers to. Yes, the ongoing gas price hikes. With its price going up almost daily, it is really becoming a pain. I can tell because even my husband complains about it, but what can we do?

In addition, when gas prices increase, the price of commodities follows which really adds to the problem. I know people who actually need a payday loan because they’re short of cash in their budget. Sad, isn’t it? Well, I think we just have to deal with it and be frugal. We don’t have a choice, do we?

PostHeaderIcon Power Outages…Grrr!

It’s been more or less three months now that we are experiencing this annoying and irritating power outages and only God knows until when we are going to suffer from this. The schedule of rotational brownouts were lifted for like a week – during the election – and what a relief it was. But oh well, that was only it, because today started the series of brownouts again. We were actually told last week that brownouts will be six hours straight with six hours interval for a total of 12 hours brownouts a day. Glad that plan didn’t push through. Our brownouts will only be three hours a day and it started today.

Yes, I should be happy because it was reduced to just three hours a day but then again, it still is irritating. It was so hot this afternoon and it just sucks without even an electric fan to help lessen the heat. Grrr! Do I sound like a tiger now? Well, for sure, I’m not the only one fuming mad around here.
