PostHeaderIcon A Tornado Hit His Room!

I was supposed to do the laundry today, but after seeing my son’s room, I decided to delay it until tomorrow and clean up his room first; it was just so messy. Well, with an 8-year-old boy living in there, I guess that’s a given, huh?

He does have boxes for his toys, but they were just scattered everywhere. Lego pieces here and there, a topsy-turvy bed, books scattered on his desk and dollar coins on the floor. I do have an idea though why he didn’t bother to put the coins in his piggy bank or clean up his mess: he was so engrossed with his new play station video games. Oh well, boys will be boys.

Hearing about people, especially kids, drowning is really heartbreaking. I know it’s the last thing that parents or a family want to deal with, but unfortunately, accidents do happen.

But we can always take precautionary measures to avoid such accidents. Having pool fencing, for example, offers extra safety to keep the kids from going to the pool without adult supervision and help prevent accidents from happening.

My husband prefers that I stay home rather than work. I do earn while at home and he said it’s enough to get us through. But after a year of staying at home, it’s taken its toll on me. I am seated in front of the computer most of the day, thus, I am starting to have lower back pains and also my arms are starting to get numb. If I get to work outside of the house, though, I know I will still sit, but at least I get to walk not to mention, see the outside world. Do I sound like I am living inside a cave? LOL. Well, it feels like since I only get to go out during weekends. (“,)

Also, I love dressing and dolling myself up. When I am at home, I am only in my pjs most of the time, especially during the cool months. Wearing a uniform and perhaps one of those name plates are cool not to mention a reason for me to go shopping for new work apparel.

Well, we are looking into it and we’ll see what happens.

My 8-year-old son talked to us yesterday about his interest to join the school’s track team because he wants to have sport trophies like my dad. My husband didn’t have second thoughts of agreeing except me. He is still a new student here and I have this fear that it might affect his schooling or grades.

Also, he will need to stay until 3:30 in the afternoon and has to be picked up. Unfortunately, I can’t do it yet since I still have to acquire a driver’s license. My husband could, but he don’t arrive home until 4:00 p.m.

I do want him to be into sports because as the husband says, it will build his stamina and teach him discipline and teamwork. But it simply is hard as of now. Maybe soon, when he gets a little older. We’ll see about that.

The husband is helping the little one with his homework now. I am in the bedroom and they are in the living room, but I can hear them loud and clear. I can actually see my husband from where I am sitting and he is seated beside my son with an auto rubber floor mat on his lap. He bought the floor mat yesterday and he already put it on the car, but he pulled it out again today. I don’t really know what his plans are and I am leaving it all up to him.

Anyway, it really is nice listening to both of them. My son is smart and my husband is not only smart, but a good teacher as well. Both of my boys are smart. Yeah!
