PostHeaderIcon Music Keeps Me Going

Whenever I am doing household chores or anything else, there is one thing that is keeping me company – music. Yep, my iPod is playing while I’m working and that is because it helps me get going. I don’t feel tired at all. I sing along with the songs and before I know it, I am already done with the chores.

Do you do the same too? Well, that is if you are a music lover like me. But I guess all of us do love music. Do you think so too? (“,)

My husband loves playing the guitar. He actually played the song “Moon River” using his guitar then recorded it and sent it to me, as well as an original instrumental he wrote just for me, accompanied by his daughter on the flute. That was when we were still boyfriend/girlfriend and I was still back in my home country. That was definitely one of the sweetest things that he has done for me.

And now that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I am thinking and hoping to give him what I consider a special and perhaps the bestest gift that I could give him – a fender eric johnson electric guitar. I have no doubt he will be jumping for joy.

So, I better start working and save for that awesome piece.

I was supposed to do the laundry today, but after seeing my son’s room, I decided to delay it until tomorrow and clean up his room first; it was just so messy. Well, with an 8-year-old boy living in there, I guess that’s a given, huh?

He does have boxes for his toys, but they were just scattered everywhere. Lego pieces here and there, a topsy-turvy bed, books scattered on his desk and dollar coins on the floor. I do have an idea though why he didn’t bother to put the coins in his piggy bank or clean up his mess: he was so engrossed with his new play station video games. Oh well, boys will be boys.

…makes Jack a dull boy.

There goes that famous proverb and I do believe in it. That is why while doing my online tasks, I am also playing my favorite app on Facebook which is “Cityville”. That is what you call multitasking. LOL.

Too much thinking about what to write is exhausting thus, I take breaks by checking on my city and see how my people are doing. Heehee. Nah, I have goals there that I need to finish so I check what else do I need to complete those goals. I’ve already sent my neighbors help requests so the next thing to do is to wait for those requests to be accepted.

I’ve been playing “Cityville” for more than a year now and so far, I haven’t got tired of it yet. I consider it the most realistic among all apps, although how I wish the money that I have there is for real. (“,)

PostHeaderIcon The Place Sure Needed a Woman’s Touch

When it comes to decorating our humble abode, I definitely have plans. My husband stayed here alone for many years so just imagine what the house looked like when I arrived – a typical bachelor’s pad. It certainly needed a woman’s touch and though I’ve done some few decorating here, there is still a lot that I want to do.

Changing some of the old furniture; yeah, that is a definite to do. I had been looking and there are just so many choices that I like, including hickory furniture. But I have a budget so I just can’t grab it at the moment. I’ve been thinking of having a built-in cabinet too for the TV and his enormous collection of books. I still have to ask his carpenter stepson about that so I will have an idea how much will it cost. I do hope it won’t cost us an arm and a leg.
